1000 Words

Just a quick note to thank you for your messages of support and to let you know I’m still alive and writing. All is going well, there still appear to be words in my head that apply to the story at hand.

I found a new "widget" to show my word count, so here you go!

Look at that beautiful number! I’m so jazzed. I do have to say that every day I am very thankful that we are not using typewriters because with Word, I can go back and edit things and add. LOL Remember the days of red pens and typewritten pages where on the last line you realized you had a typo 2/3 of the page up? no more. Yes. Life is good!

I will do my best to photograph the stars, either tonight or tomorrow. They are SO beautiful! I want to do more… but haven’t had time to go to Michaels yet.

It has been a busy couple of days at work, and I’ve been really tired, but I’ve managed to pull through and I think I even had a bit of writer’s block that I am coming out the other side of! I have an idea, today, of where my story is going, so I think that is truly a positive sign.

This morning, Steven and I took off a couple of hours and went to our favorite Holiday Craft Fair. We bought a couple of cute things as gifts and even better, we won something that we wanted for a gift!!! Psych! (LOL– 1. I never say that, 2. It was fun to say)

So no photos, sorry, maybe soon. I also went to Michaels and I bought some small barn stars that were this rustic white, and a Martha Stewart glitter kit. Since I’m done writing for the day, (I have more I could write but I want to know what I’m writing tomorrow and I don’t want to rush because there are still 20 days left!), I’m going to go make some Christmas Glittered Stars. My favorite part of Christmas is all the glitz and glitter I think…. hee hee I have a couple of rusted barn stars that hang next to the fireplace, these are much smaller, so I’m thinking I’ll hang them on the wall with the regular ones…. I hope they look like I want them to!

Okay, I’m off to play with craft things and do some laundry!

I found this and think it is easier for folks to look here than on my nanowrimo account. I am hoping that it will automatically update as I write more. Had a very productive day today, wrote some at lunch and then when I got home. Done now, tired. (oh, 1RadChick is my Nanowrimo log in name)

By the way, if you have kids, and I know a lot of folks who read my blog do, there is a nanowrimo program for children. You might want to check it out at Nanowrimo. I think this is such a great organization. We’ve made a donation, because I just can’t believe how much Steven, my Mom and I are enjoying this whole experience.
